HUAWEI
Reputation: Transparency
PR CAMPAIGN
An idea pitched to Huawei that reimagines their transparency challenge as a tactile storytelling moment. A double-page newspaper spread hides the brand’s real message beneath a layer of rumours, speculation and mistrust.
Strategic cut-outs on the first page offer teasing glimpses of what lies underneath fragments of a truth waiting to be uncovered. Only when the reader physically turns the page does the full, honest message reveal itself. It’s a simple, human interaction that transforms doubt into discovery, and turns a reputation problem into an act of openness.
Saving The Rainforest By Listening
PR CAMPAIGN
The Challenge:
Deep in the rainforest, illegal logging often happens faster than authorities can respond. After watching Topher White’s TED Talk about transforming old Huawei smartphones into real-time listening devices that detect chainsaws, Huawei saw an opportunity to amplify his mission, using technology to give the rainforest a voice and drive even greater impact.
The Solution:
What began as a conversation became a powerful partnership, as Huawei built on RFCx’s use of its durable smartphones to scale a connected ecosystem protecting multiple rainforests. We told the story through a short film highlighting how technology and human ingenuity can unite to safeguard the planet’s most vital forests.

First Nation: Canada
PR CAMPAIGN
The Challenge:
In the vast and remote regions of Canada, many First Nations communities remain disconnected from the digital world. Their deep, time-honored knowledge - of weather, land, and life - risks fading in isolation. The challenge is not only bridging the physical distance but also ensuring that centuries of wisdom find a place in the modern cloud.
The Solution:
Huawei is bringing 5G connectivity to First Nations communities, blending advanced technology with ancestral knowledge. By installing towers and broadband networks in remote areas, Huawei helps preserve traditions while opening new pathways for education, innovation, and connection. It's where heritage meets high speed - and the world's oldest lessons meet tomorrow's cloud.
A New Path To The City
PR CAMPAIGN
The Challenge:
The Forbidden City is a stunning tour that many love to wander and enjoy. However, the city remains inaccessible to the partially sighted.
Enjoying the real-time experience of a tour for partially sighted people is difficult. The relationships between the tour audio recording describing the city and a person’s walk are unsynchronized.
Partially sighted people are unable to experience the tour to its fullest potential and complexity of the city makes it difficult for the blind to traverse.
The Solution:
Through a phone attached around the neck, which is linked to a GPS App and using Huawei latest installed 5G network, the partially sighted are connected to a real-time sensor that activates when they enter certain rooms, describing the details and providing historic information.
The sensor also acts to protect from the complexity of the city, activating when they are walking towards a wall or in the wrong direction, creating a seamless journey around the city that was once forbidden to a large section of our world.
